Press Release
Another side project from Erik Turner of Warrant has just been unveiled.
I Saw Red is a double hitter it would seem. This time it comes in the form of a beautifully palatable Cabernet Sauvignon!
This Cabernet Sauvignon is bold rugged individualistic with dark and complex characteristics. Rich, concentrated character that is layered with ripe black cherry, cassis and blueberry jam fruit aromas are underscored with modest herbal scents and warm, smoky oak tones. Full bodied and velvety upon first taste, this is a supple wine with great varietal intensity.
Each bottle is hand signed and numbered by Warrant co-founder and guitarist, Erik Turner, who is also a partner in Down Boys Records with band bassist Jerry Dixon.
Details of the wine are as follows:
Vintage: None
Type: Red Wine
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
Alcohol: 13.8%
Harvest Date: Various
Bottling Date: July 2012
Wine Volume: 50ML
This morning, Dave Grohl wrote to fans via Facebook to explain his statement at a Boston show last weekend, when he said he was not sure when the band Foo Fighters would play again.
Here is what he wrote…….
Hey everyone…
Dave here. Just wanted to write and thank you all again from the bottom of my heart for another incredible year. (Our 18th, to be exact!) We truly never could have done any of this without you…
Never in my wildest dreams did I think Foo Fighters would make it this far. I never thought we COULD make it this far, to be honest. There were times when I didn’t think the band would survive. There were times when I wanted to give up. But… I can’t give up this band. And I never will. Because it’s not just a band to me. It’s my life. It’s my family. It’s my world.
Yes… I was serious. I’m not sure when the Foo Fighters are going to play again. It feels strange to say that, but it’s a good thing for all of us to go away for a while. It’s one of the reasons we’re still here. Make sense? I never want to NOT be in this band. So, sometimes it’s good to just… put it back in the garage for a while…
But, no gold watches or vacations just yet… I’ll be focusing all of my energy on finishing up my Sound City documentary film and album for worldwide release in the very near future. A year in the making, it could be the biggest, most important project I’ve ever worked on. Get ready… it’s coming.
Me, Taylor, Nate, Pat, Chris, and Rami… I’m sure we’ll all see you out there… somewhere…
Thank you, thank you, thank you…
Dave
Rumours that started with an Australian radio station, who presumed a joint Pearl Jam, Soundgarden tour to take place in 2013 after the former issues a new album next year, are being denied by the Drummer of both bands. Matt Cameron told a Boston radio station, “After I play, like, I don’t know, two hours with Soundgarden, my day is done. I think when we did the PJ20 show, with Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, the lead vocalist for Soundgarden, came out to that and we played some Temple Of The Dog stuff and it was awesome. Maybe there might be a one-off where that could happen, but I’m not 25 anymore.”
Temple Of The Dog was a collaboration between the two bands, however only one cd was ever released, meaning not a lot of material for a tour!
Rumours were quashed just last week that Pearl Jam were set to play Download Festival at Donington in 2013.

In front of 60,000 fans this past weekend, in New York’s Central Park at the Global Citizen Festival, Dave Grohl announced that Foo Fighters had “no more shows after this. Honestly, I don’t know when we’re gonna do it again… and this is the perfect place to do it.”
Grohl, who was visibly shaken and overwhelmed at a performance with Foo Fighters at Wembley Stadium in England, is an accomplished musician who will not be sitting home bored. Perhaps Them Crooked Vultures, with whom Grohl is the drummer, will be making an appearance or two in the near future?
Whatever the future holds we can only hope it includes more FOO!
Playing out the show to Everlong, Grohl did say that the band would eventually be back……
