The Endless River

Pink Floyd recently released what has been coined; their final album.
The music is not new, in the sense that it was not just written.
No, it is in fact left overs from The Division Bell, the fourteenth studio album for Pink Floyd, recorded in early 1993.
Louder Than Words is is the only track with vocals, and the lyrics were penned by David Gilmours wife, Polly Samson. Samson is not, nor ever was a member of Pink Floyd. However, she also shared writing credits on The Division Bell.

Long time Pink Floyd aficionado Tom Harniess, was quick to offer a review of the new Pink Floyd offering.
“It comes in a nice box” he said.

Here at TiTT, we think the

album cover is quite pretty, too!

The Ozzman Cometh…Again

Sharon Osbourne is telling the world so…
The Osbournes are once again going to be putting it out there for the world to see, because her husband; singer, and Prince of Darkness, John “Ozzy” Osbourne wants to make the show sober.
Eight or so new episodes, are on the cards.

When the show originally aired in the early 2000’s, Osbourne, who as recently as 2013, had a relapse with his addictions, was fairly well sozzled throughout. Even now, he is still very difficult to understand, and appears to have difficulty with his balance and motor skills.
Will it be the same old, same old?
At a guess, just another ride on the Crazy Train….. SHAAAARUN.

Wayne Static, death not OD

Musician, and Static X founder, Wayne Static (Wayne Richard Wells), was found dead in his home earlier this week.  Static was about to embark on a tour with Powerman 5000, and Drowning Pool.

Static, who was a previous user of drugs, was assumed dead from a drug overdose, after no confirmation of the cause of death were made.  However, Static’s wife Tera Wray later disclosed that Static had not been a drug user at the time of death.

An autopsy will show the cause of death.

Phil Rudd; Rock or Bust…

When you name a record, is seems that you should consider carefully, or deal with the fallout.

After naming their new record Rock Or Bust, AC/DC are teetering on the edge of bust.  With the pain of Guitarist Malcom Youngs dementia diagnosis, and subsequent retirement from the band still fresh, drummer Phil Rudd has added insult to injury, wreaked a little havoc, and has seemingly gone and done a few dirty deeds.  We have no idea if they were going to be done dirt cheap.

AC/DC are a notoriously private band.  Rudd  obviously missed the memo!

Rudd, 60, of Tauranga, an island off New Zealand, was arrested this week on charges of threats to kill, and attempting to hire a person to kill to others.  Attempting to procure a murder.  Rudd appeared in court, but the charges have since been dropped.  Paul Mabey QC, Rudd’s lawyer stated that “The charge alleging an attempt to procure murder should never have been laid.”   The intended hitman, as yet not named,  claims that the whole thing was just “hot air”.  This it not it seems, the end of the matter.  When carrying out a raid on Rudd’s home prior to an arrest, police found methamphetamine and cannabis, and to take a look at an almost toothless, disheveled, and gaunt Rudd on the stand earlier this week, it is totally possible that he is indulging in the drugs.  Rudd could still be charged with drug possession and serve time in jail.

Where does this leave AC/DC as far as a drummer is concerned, for any upcoming tour?  That remains to be seen.  Rudd did undertake percussion duties on the new record, but was not photographed for any of the promotional material.

We would like to wish the Young family well, and respect their wishes at this time.
